What is the EPFL Summer Internship 2026?

EPFL Summer Internship 2026 offers a summer research fellowship at a Swiss technical university’s School of Computer and Communication Sciences. Applicants are placed in a research unit to work on real problems alongside senior scientists during summer months.

You must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at another institution (not the host university) and still be a student during the internship period. PhD students are not eligible for this particular program.

When is the application deadline for Summer 2026?

Applications open a couple of weeks before the deadline. The deadline is set as the Sunday closest to 1 December each year. Applicants should check the portal as soon as it opens.

Applicants upload a CV, full university transcripts (Bachelor and if applicable Master), and a letter of motivation (one to two pages). These must be submitted in PDF format via the online form.

Can applicants choose their project or lab in advance?

No predefined project list is provided. Applicants select up to three scientific domains of interest; specific research projects are proposed by faculty and matched after admission.

Do I need to provide letters of recommendation?
