The DAAD In-Region Scholarship 2026 provides a fully funded opportunity for Yemeni graduates to pursue Master’s degree programmes at selected universities in Jordan. Eligibility Criteria for the DAAD In-Region Scholarship 2026

  • Have successfully completed generally a three-year university degree (i.e. Bachelor degree or equivalent) with a minimum average of ‘good’
  • Clearly show motivation and strong commitment
  • Have thorough knowledge of the language of instruction (English and/or Arabic)
  • Have generally completed their last university degree not more than six years ago at the time of application
  • Must be nationals or permanent residents of Yemen
  • Should ideally be a) staff member of a public university, b) candidate considered for teaching or research staff recruitment and/or c) from the public sector.
  • Female applicants, refugees with recognised refugee status and candidates from other less privileged regions or groups are especially encouraged to participate.

  • Request recommendation form in the DAAD Portal as a writable PDF under ‘Request recommendation form’
  • Send the recommendation form to your university teacher and ask him or her to complete the form in full
  • Upload the completed recommendation form in the portal under ‘Letter of Recommendation’
  • Prepare application documents
  • If necessary, translate documents (unless they are already in German or English)
  • Scan paper documents and save in PDF format
