How to Apply?

• Begin by submitting your online application for your chosen Master’s program
• Prepare and upload your unofficial transcript. If you are completing your bachelor’s degree, include transcripts up to your most recent semester. Include a grading scale or key to explain your grades.
• Write your essay or statement of purpose. MS ECE applicants should explain why they want to join the program. MS IT and MS EAI applicants must answer three short essay questions (optional fourth). Keep your responses clear, concise, and original.
• Record your video essay. You will get 30 seconds to review the prompt and up to 3 minutes to record. Submit in English with clear audio and video, following technical requirements.
• Upload an up-to-date CV highlighting your academic and professional experience.
• Provide recommendation contacts. MS ECE applicants must upload three recommenders’ details; they will submit letters directly. MS IT and MS EAI applicants do not need recommendation letters at application.
• Upload a valid ID or passport as part of your application.
• Keep in mind the important dates: applications open October 1, early admission deadline is December 15, and final deadline is January 15. Applications are reviewed January through April, decisions shared April–May, and the semester starts in September.
• Admitted students participate in the Student Induction Program from May to August, preparing them for a smooth transition to CMU-Africa with a mix of online and in-person learning activities.
