BW LNG Maritime Trainee Programme 2027 in Norway | Paid

The BW LNG Maritime Trainee is an 18-month management trainee programme combining hands-on experience in a world-leading maritime company with an international academic programme. Trainees build industry insight, leadership skills and a professional network across the global maritime sector. The 2027 intake focuses on commercial operations and supports BW LNG’s fleet expansion and continued growth.

Applicants should be in their 5th year of study undergoing a master’s degree or recent graduates in Marine Technical Operations / Engineering, Maritime Management or other technical, shipping-related studies. Previous internships within shipping are an advantage. Excellent written and spoken English and strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.

The trainee rotates across BW LNG’s commercial, operations and technical functions to build a broad understanding of the LNG shipping and FSRU business. Key responsibilities include commercial operations activities, contract management, sector analysis, preparing presentations and proposals, vessel operations coordination, and cross-functional projects spanning commercial, legal, financial and technical matters.

The position is based in Oslo, Norway. Some travelling should be expected, and there may be potential opportunities to spend time in Singapore and join an LNG carrier for a shorter sailing period. BW LNG has offices in Oslo, Singapore, Houston, Rio, Shanghai, Mumbai and Manila.
