The British Academy Research Programme 2027 in UK supports international interdisciplinary research projects on the theme of Mobilities. This fully funded programme aims to develop new research led by the humanities and social sciences, collaborating across SHAPE and STEM disciplines.

British Academy Research ProgrammeEligibility Criteria

  • Principal Investigator must be a researcher from the humanities and social sciences
  • PI must be based at an eligible UK university or research institute
  • PI must hold an established role lasting at least the duration of the award
  • PI must be of postdoctoral or above status (or equivalent research experience)
  • PI must plan to spend at least 20% of their time (0.2 FTE equivalent) on the award
  • Involvement of Co-Applicants based overseas is required
  • Research must be led by and grounded in the humanities and/or social sciences
  • Genuinely productive and integral interdisciplinarity is a requirement
