How to apply for Sabanci University Summer Research Program in Turkey? | Step-by-Step Process 2024

Sabancı University (Turkish: Sabancı Üniversitesi), established in 1994, is a young foundation university located on a 1.26 million squaremeter campus which is about 40 km from Istanbul's city center. Its first students matriculated in 1999. The first academic session started on October 20, 1999.

The university is pleased to announce that the applications for the "Program for Undergraduate Research 2023-2024 Summer Term", which we organized as Sabancı University, are open now!

Under this program, undergraduate students will be able to contribute to research projects carried out in different fields in the laboratories of Sabancı University professors. We will be organizing the PURE 2023-2024 Summer Session between  8 July and 29 August 2024.

The projects opened by Sabancı University faculty members and researchers were published on the PURE website. Applications will be between 1st April- 22nd April, 16:00. We expect undergraduate students from all universities to apply for their preferred projects on our website. For this, it will be sufficient to review the summer term project list on our website and fill out the application form after you become a member of our page. Only online applications will be accepted.

Eligibility

• The scholarship is open to undergraduate students from all nationalities.
• Undergraduate students in any year can apply.
• Applicants should have Good academic and English-speaking skills.
• Applicants submit their application via Sabanci univeristy Pure Program.
• Students can apply for up to 6 research projects. However, they can choose Only ONE project.
• Students receive a certificate of participation upon completing the program successfully.
• Students are required to obtain a Visa after the confirmation of selection.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Step - 1: Visit the Official Website.

Step - 2: Click on the Apply Now button.

Step - 3: Click on the Add items button to launch the widget. You can apply max. 6 projects but if you are accepted to the PURE Program, you will be assigned to only one of these projects. Please order the projects according to your order of preference (the top being the project that you want the most) by moving them in the list. Note that your ordering of the projects will be important for your placement.

Step - 4: Here you need to select your preferred projects, based on faculty and related areas. After selection, you need to click on the submit buttion.

Step - 5: Here you need to fill-up your basic information

Step - 6: Here, you need to add your transcripts and Statement of Purpose

Step - 7: This section in for your referees. In order for your application to be finalized, the referees must fill in the reference letter without delay using the link we sent via e-mail.

The e-mail field must be filled in for the referral link to reach the referee!

Reference letters must be uploaded to the system by the referees before the deadline.

All reference letters must be uploaded by 22nd April, 16:00

Step - 8: After adding all the details, you need to give your consent. Then your application will be submitted.
