The Hatfield Lioness Scholarship at Durham University in UK is open to all nationals to pursue Masters degree. Hatfield College aims to award the Lioness Scholarship to an individual who has the academic and personal qualities to enable them to complete and benefit from a postgraduate course, and who will also act as a positive ambassador for their home country in Durham, and put their enhanced knowledge and skills gained from the master’s program and experience in Durham to good use for the benefit of their society when they return home.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have an excellent academic background.
  • Applicants must be all-rounders to be a part of this scholarship. 
  • Moreover, they should have excellent record of extracurriculars achievements in school and communities.
  • All applicants should also meet the English language criteria and if they submit test results, they should typically have SAT scores of above 1500 and ACT scores above 33 if they wish to apply for the Boston University Trustee Scholarship. 
  • Similarly, they must submit a scholarship essay with their application.
  • The trustee scholarship essay must be 600 words at maximum. 
  • The essay must be on any one of the topics below:

Step - 17: Next,  you are required to submit a personal statement that describes your academic interest in and understanding of your chosen course, as well as your purpose and objectives in undertaking this postgraduate study. Your personal statement is an important part of your application and is an opportunity for you to demonstrate why you think you would be a good student for the course you are applying to and why the University should select your application over those of other candidates. For certain courses, we may require further specific information from you,

As standard, your personal statement should:

  • Explain your motivation to undertake the course
  • Describe your academic interests, strengths and background relevant to the course
  • Outline your ambitions and/or research interests
  • Include other relevant information, such as additional reading or research, work or other relevant experiences that have informed your decision to apply for the particular course
  • Highlight areas of specific interest within the course you are applying for

Step - 20: In this section, you should upload any other documents to support your application. If your documents are not available at the point at which you submit your application, you can upload them later via the portal.
