YBB Japan Youth Summit 2025 is now open for applications, inviting passionate young leaders from around the globe to join a life-changing experience in Osaka, Japan. Scheduled to take place from 26–29 October 2025, this fully funded international summit brings together changemakers, innovators, and future leaders to exchange ideas, foster collaboration, and create real-world solutions to global issues. With a special focus on key Sustainable Development Goals—such as Quality Education (SDG 4), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Sustainable Cities (SDG 11), and Climate Action (SDG 13)—this summit is your platform to make a meaningful impact.

📚 Step by Step Application Process of YBB Youth Summit 2025 in Japan

If you are interested to apply in the Japan Youth Summit 2025 organized by YBB, you can follow these steps to apply successfuly.

Step 1: Sign up

To begin your application, you’ll first need to create an account on the official Japan Youth Summit 2025 platform.

You’ll be asked to provide the following information:

• Full Name
  Please enter your legal name exactly as it appears on your passport.
• Email Address
  Use a valid and accessible email address — this is where all communication will be sent.
• Password
  Choose a secure password that meets the following requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 characters
  • At least one lowercase letter (e.g., a)
  • At least one uppercase letter (e.g., A)
  • At least one number (e.g., 1)
  • At least one special character (e.g., @, #, $)
    Example: Password@1234
• Confirm Password
  Retype the same password to confirm.

You should see a successful message like this unless you mess with given information!

You’ll receive an email from the YBB Foundation, typically sent from [email protected].

⚠️ Sometimes, the email might land in your spam or junk folder. If you don’t see it in your inbox, be sure to check there as well.

Finally click on the Verify Email Address (green color) button to verify your email.

Step 2: Start the registration process

Once you have verified your email, you can login to the dashboard.

To login, go to: https://japanyouthsummit.com/sign-in

After successfully login, you should get a dashboard like following, click on the Complete From button.

Step 3 (a): Personal Details

• Birth Date: Choose your date of birth. For example: 1989-01-31
• Gender: Choose your gender
• Nationality: Bangladeshi
• Origin Address: Dhaka, Bangladesh
• Current Address: Dhaka, Bangladesh
• Personal Phone Number: Try to provide valid, and active phone so that organizer can reach to you if needed.
• Emergency Contact Number:
• Relationship to Applicant: Parent
• T-Shirt Size: Choose your T-short size. Applicant is advised to refer to the provided Size Guide for accurate selection.
• Disease History: You should inform them if you have any disease, because it will be easier for organizer to support you in case you need anything extra.
• Upload photo: Upload a professional looking photo

Step 3 (b): Processonal Details

• Education Level: Your latest educational level
• Institution: The univiersity / institute name from where you get the last degree
• Major/Field of Study: Give your field of study name, e.g. Social Social
• Occupation: What is your current occupation
• Organization: The name of the institute where do you work currently
• Professional Experiences: Provide a summary of your processional experience. For example:
  • Over the past 3 years, I have led multiple youth-focused sustainability projects, including organizing climate awareness workshops in rural schools and coordinating a plastic recycling initiative that engaged over 500 volunteers across Dhaka. I’ve also collaborated with international NGOs on urban greening campaigns and community clean-ups.
• Achievements: List of your achievements. If can be academic, co-curricular activities, social and any positive achievements. For example:
  • Recognized as “Youth Sustainability Leader” by the South Asia Green Forum in 2023
  • Selected as a speaker at the 2024 Asia-Pacific Climate Youth Conference
  • Successfully secured a $10,000 grant for a community-based solar panel project in 2022
• CV/Resume Link (Optional): Provide a link of your CV. Although it’s optional, personally I prefer to send a link so that organizer can take a better decission. Perhaps upload in the goole drive and share it here.

Step 3 (c): Entry Information

Participation Category

Choose based on your age and status:

• Future Innovators – For university students or young professionals who have graduated from high school.
• High School Innovators – For students currently enrolled in high school.

Program Subthemes

You must select one SDG-related subtheme that best aligns with your passion or experience. Each subtheme includes a guiding focus:

1. Innovation in Education (SDG 4)
   Focus: Bridging educational gaps through technology or community programs.
2. Inclusive Economic Development (SDG 8)
   Focus: Balancing gig work, job security, and inclusive innovation.
3. Ethical Tech for Global Good (SDG 9)
   Focus: Promoting responsible tech and innovation ethics.
4. Sustainable Cities & Communities (SDG 11)
   Focus: Urban/rural development that supports sustainability and resilience.
5. Climate Change (SDG 13)
   Focus: Empowering youth-led actions for climate sustainability.

Essay Guidelines

Before writing your answers:

• Read the official Essay Guidelines carefully.
• Follow formatting and word count requirements exactly:
  • Title: Max 150 words
  • Essay Body: Max 800 words
  • References: Max 250 words

🛑 Failure to comply can lower your evaluation score or disqualify you from fully funded slots.

1. Title of Your Essay (Max 150 words)

Write a clear, concise title that reflects:

• Your initiative
• The SDG focus area
• The target group or impact

Examples:

• Tech for All: Empowering Girls Through Digital Literacy (SDG 4)
• Greening My City: A Youth-Led Climate Project (SDG 13)

2. Write Your Essay (Max 800 words)

Structure your essay with these elements:

Introduction

• Brief context: who you are and the problem you’re addressing
• Why this SDG matters to you

Your Contribution or Plan

• Projects or initiatives you’ve led/participated in
• Skills or strategies you applied
• Community engagement methods
• Measurable impact (numbers, testimonials, awards)

Future Vision

• How you will scale your efforts
• What you hope to gain from the summit
• Your leadership aspirations in global development

🟢 Tone tip: Be visionary yet realistic. Use facts, but stay personal.

3. References (Max 250 words)

List sources that support your essay, such as:

• Project websites, publications, media coverage
• Reports (e.g., UN, World Bank, national government)
• Articles featuring your work
• Peer-reviewed research

Step 3 (d): Miscellaneous

1. Instagram Account

• What to do: Enter your full Instagram profile URL.
• ✅ Example: https://instagram.com/your_username

2. Knowledge Source

• What to select: Choose where you found out about the Japan Youth Summit.
• ✅ Examples of options likely to appear:
  • Instagram
  • Facebook
  • Ambassador
  • University
  • Friend / Referral

3. Source Account Name

• What to provide: The handle, username, or name of the page/person that informed you.
• ✅ Example: @youthbreaktheboundaries or John Doe (Facebook)

4. Twibbon Link

• What to do: Upload a Twibbon post (your photo with the summit frame) on Instagram or social media, tag the accounts listed, then share the public link to that post here.

5. Share Description Requirements

You must complete all these steps:

🟢 Proof Required:
Take screenshots of each step, upload to Google Drive / Dropbox, set it to “public”, and copy the link.

6. Requirement Link

• What to do: Paste the public folder link containing all screenshots as proof of completed tasks.

7. Ambassador Referral Code (Optional)

• What to do: If you were referred by an ambassador, ask them for their code and paste it here.
• ✅ Example: AMB123XYZ
• ❌ If not applicable, leave it blank.

Step 3 (e): Preview

In this stage, you need to review the application that you going to submit. Once agree, you need to pay for the application fee.

In order to pay the application fee, click on the Go to Payment Page button.

Step 4: Payment

You should see the Payment page similar to my page where you need to pay $10 for the application registration fee.

Once you click on the green button Pay Now, a new pop-up form will be appeared where you need to pay via:

• Online Payment Gateway:
  • Credit/Debit Card
  • Virtural account
  • QRIS
  • …
• Manual Payment
  • Bank Transfer
  • Paypal
    

Finally you need to pay with your select payment gateway:

Once you’ve entered your correct card details, click the “Pay Now” button to complete your registration.

Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email from YBB Foundation.

After clicking Pay Now, do not refresh or close the page/tab. Doing so may result in multiple charges.
