Shenzhen FinTech Competition 2026 in China | Fully Funded

Shenzhen FinTech Competition brings the 2026 Shenzhen International FinTech Competition (FinTechathon) – International Track to students worldwide to showcase AI-driven financial innovations under the theme “AI as a Financial Participant.”

The competition is hosted by Tsinghua University’s PBC School of Finance with WeBank, offering global exchange, prize awards, invited finalist arrangements, and career fast-track opportunities for outstanding teams.

Shenzhen FinTech Competition Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to full-time enrolled students (Undergraduate, Master’s, and Ph.D. candidates) at overseas universities and research institutions (outside Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Chinese Taipei).
  • Teaming: Teams of 2–5 students (cross-year, cross-major, cross-university, and cross-border collaborations welcomed). Each participant may join only one team across both tracks.
  • Nationalities: To ensure international character, at least 60% of team members must be non-Chinese nationals.

What prizes and monetary awards are available?

The International Track Prize Pool is RMB 250,000. Awards include First Prize (1): RMB 100,000; Second Prize (1): RMB 80,000; Third Prize (1): RMB 50,000; Best Innovation Award (1): RMB 20,000; and several Excellence Awards.

Are there any fees to register?

There is no registration fee. The Fees and Benefits section explicitly states ‘Registration Fee: No registration fee (100% Free),’ so teams can register without paying a fee.

How do teams register and submit their materials?

Teams should download the registration form from the provided drive link, attach each member’s passport bio page, email the completed form and passport pages to WANG Yiran at wangyr@pbcsf.tsinghua.edu.cn to confirm slot allocation, and send full submission deliverables via email to the same address before the deadline.
