ORFeus PhD Scholarship 2027 in Europe | Fully Funded

ORFeus PhD Scholarship is recruiting 15 fully funded PhD researchers to help map the dark proteome, with positions starting around March 2027. The ORFeus application is submitted via a central platform where applicants may rank up to three projects.

The scholarship is organised by ORFeus and follows the eligibility rules of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. Positions are full employment contracts with salary and allowances set by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, including living, mobility and family allowances where applicable.

ORFeus PhD Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • You do not already hold a doctorate (PhD).
  • You will have a master’s degree, or an equivalent that gives access to doctoral study, by the time you start.
  • You must not have lived, worked or studied in the country of your chosen host for more than 12 months in the three years before you would be recruited (the mobility rule, and short stays such as holidays do not count).
  • Applicants of any nationality are welcome.

How to Apply for ORFeus PhD Scholarship

  • You do not apply to each host institution separately. You submit and rank one application per project, up to at maximum three projects, through our central platform.
  • Open 1 October 2026, for three weeks
  • Open 1 October to 22 October, 23:59 CEST. You are only allowed to apply to up to 3 projects. If you apply to more than 3, all your applications will be ineligible.
