Silicon Valley Fellowship is a week-long program that fast-tracks founders, students and operators into the San Francisco tech ecosystem through industry talks, company visits and a private community. The Silicon Valley Fellowship connects fellows with mentors, investors and academics to accelerate projects, networking and career opportunities.
The program is organized by Gomry, a San Francisco-based tech company, and runs workshops and events across the San Francisco Bay Area. Gomry selects mentors and alumni with proven Silicon Valley experience and offers a Next Gen Fund to help exceptional candidates cover travel and accommodation costs.

How selective is the Silicon Valley Fellowship program?
We receive 5000+ applications per year for a limited number of spots. Our acceptance rate is around 5%.
Is my acceptance to a batch transferable to another one?
Yes. If you are selected but can’t make the batch you applied for, you can join the one you prefer among those running in the upcoming year. Let us know as early as you can, since places in each batch are limited.
Which visa do I need and how do I apply for it?
If you are not a US citizen and your country is part of the Visa Waiver Program, you are able to enter the United States for business or tourism without a visa for up to 90 days. Check out eligibility on the ESTA website. If an ESTA does not fit your situation, check out the visas page by the U.S. Embassy.
Does participation grant me a work visa?
No, the Silicon Valley Fellowship itself does not provide job opportunities and consequent visas, but joining our network will grant you introductions, referrals, exclusive job opportunities, and a platform to talk to mentors and other fellows.
How does the Next Gen Fund work?
The Next Gen Fund exists for exceptional admitted candidates who would otherwise not be able to join, and can cover anything from part to all of what the week involves: your place in the program, flights, and accommodation in San Francisco. The selection process is highly competitive, and evidence of exceptional achievements is a prerequisite. You can apply after your acceptance.
How can I get a referral?
Referrals come from the people already in the community: alumni and mentors who know what we look for. Our ambassadors are alumni who stayed close to the Fellowship and are open to being contacted, so reach out to one of them and tell them what you are building. You can find them on the referrals page. A referral carries weight in our process, it does not replace the application.
Who organizes the Silicon Valley Fellowship? And why?
The Fellowship is organized by Gomry, a San Francisco based tech company. We built it because it is the community we had wanted to start for a long time: a reason to keep working closely with mentors who have spent their careers here, and to meet young talent from around the world every batch.
What professional opportunities can the Fellowship network provide?
The Fellowship network can provide opportunities such as introductions, referrals, job postings, and connections with mentors and other fellows.
Does the Fellowship provide access to mentors?
Yes. Fellows can connect with mentors through the program and its private community. The Fellowship says its mentors have proven track records and extensive Silicon Valley experience.
What happens after an applicant is accepted?
Accepted applicants receive an invitation to a 10-minute interview. If the Fellowship determines that they can take full advantage of the program, they receive the information needed to finalize their spot.
