The Advanced FETP Fellowship is a 2-year training-through-service program in applied epidemiology and public health leadership offered by the Uganda Public Health Fellowship Program. Fellows develop competencies by providing valuable public health services to the Ministry of Health, with 80% of time spent on field projects and 20% in interactive didactic training at UNIPH.

The Uganda Public Health Fellowship Program (UPHFP) is implemented by the Ministry of Health in partnership with Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH) and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC). Housed in the Uganda National Institute of Public Health (UNIPH), the program aims to develop the next generation of public health leadership for Uganda through learning-by-service and responding to real-time public health problems.

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Veterinary Public Health, Nutrition, Environmental Health, Wildlife or any other health-related discipline
  • 3-7 years of work experience in any health-related field including human, environmental, veterinary, wildlife, etc.
