Kingston University International Merit-Based Scholarship 2026 in UK

The Kingston University International Merit-Based Scholarship are awarded based on your reasons for wanting to study at Kingston University and your ability and enthusiasm to be a champion for Kingston and support recruitment and marketing work. Applications are not on a first come, first served basis. Your personal statement and video introduction should demonstrate your enthusiasm, answering questions about your background, study motivations, and how you plan to be a university champion.

Yes, you can apply for more than one Kingston University International Merit-Based Scholarship. However, if awarded more than one, you can only accept one Kingston University scholarship, except for the International Success Support Scholarship which can be combined with an International Merit Based Scholarship. Students may also apply for a Loyalty Bursary after enrolment and can combine a Kingston scholarship with an externally awarded scholarship.

For the International Merit Based Scholarship, if you pay by instalments, the £5,000 deduction is applied to your final instalment. If paying full tuition fees in advance, you deduct £5,000 from the total fees. For example, if fees are £13,500, you pay £8,500. The International Success Support Scholarship (£2,500) is automatically deducted from your tuition fee invoice if eligible.

The International Merit Based Scholarship must be used for the course and intake specified in your application. If you change your course or defer, you will lose the scholarship. The International Success Support Scholarship is only for 2026 entry on selected courses; you can defer from January 2026 to September 2026 and remain eligible, but other deferrals or course changes may affect the award.

Applications are now open for the September 2026 intake. For the January intake, applications will open in October. Notifications for the September intake are usually made towards the end of June, and for the January intake in late November. The scholarship application form typically opens in March and October each year.
