Type 1. Scholarships for Master Candidates

  • Type A

Coverage: CNY 25,000

Beneficiaries:

The scholarship is open to Masters Students in the following categories:

  • Excellent JSU students continually studying from the bachelor degree to master degree;
  • Candidates recommended by the “Belt and Road” Cooperative Universities;
  • Graduate candidates from the top 1,000 Universities in the world (according to four internationally recognized universities ranking system, namely the US News & World Report, QS,THE,ARWU);
  • Graduate candidates from “First-Class Universities” in China; and graduates from the program of “First-class Disciplines” or top 1% of ESI.
  • Type B

Coverage: CNY 20,000.

Beneficiaries: Other admitted master candidates.

Type 2. Scholarships for Doctoral Candidates

  • Type A

Coverage: Tuition, Accommodation Fee (CNY 5,000) and Living Allowance (CNY 5,000)

Beneficiaries:

The doctoral scholarship is open to the following categories:

  • Excellent JSU students continually studying from the master degree to doctoral degree;
  • Candidates recommended by the “Belt and Road” Cooperative Universities;
  • Graduate Candidates from the top 1000 universities in the world (according to four internationally recognized universities ranking system, namely the US News & World Report, QS,THE,ARWU);
  • Graduate Candidates from “First-class Universities” in China; graduates from the program of “First-class Disciplines” or top 1% of ESI.
  • Type B

Coverage: Tuition, Accommodation Fee (CNY 5,000)

Beneficiaries : Other admitted Ph.D. candidates.

Type 3. Scholarships for Bachelor Programs Taught in English

Coverage: CNY 10,000 (first year ONLY)

Beneficiaries:

This category of scholarship is open to the following Undergraduate students:

  • New Students from these new programs: Material Science and Engineering, Electronic Commerce, Corporate Finance.

  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Undergraduate and postgraduate degree program in Engineering, Insurance, Financial Management, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Automation, Commerce, Business, Marketing, Human Resource, science, etc.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
    • Must be international students
    • Must hold an offer to study in an approved program at the university.
  • Age Requirement: Bachelor: under 25 years; Master Students: under 30 years; PhD Students: under 40 years.

  • Register a new account on Jiangsu University’s online application portal.
  • Complete the application form and upload all required documents, including a passport photo, passport copy, academic transcripts, degree certificates, and language proficiency proof (English-taught programs: English certificate; Chinese-taught programs: HSK-4).
  • For Master’s or PhD applicants, include a research proposal and two recommendation letters from professors on official letterhead.
  • Note your application number after submission and track your application status online.
  • Download and complete the “Application Form for Jiangsu University Presidential Scholarship for Freshmen” and upload it in the scholarship section of your application.
