Walailak University is pleased to announce the PhD Excellence Scholarships to help foreign students conduct studies in order to develop new knowledge in Thailand. The scholarship applications are open for the academic year 2022-2023.

Students of all nationalities can apply for Walailak University PhD Excellence Scholarships this to cover the tuition costs of any PhD programme at Walailak University. Students that submit a study and research progress report to the College of Graduate Studies will be considered. The full tuition fee will be covered.

Founded in 1992, Walailak University is a public university located in Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand. Ranking 24th in the country, it aims to discover, seek, maintain and disseminate knowledge and academic excellence for the progress of society.

The Walailak University PhD Excellence Scholarships will cover the full tuition fee of the complete term of the PhD programme undertaken by the selected students at Walailak.

• Eligible Countries: Foreign and home country national students are eligible to apply for this Walailak University PhD Excellence Scholarships.
• Eligible Course or Subjects: International PhD programmes offered at Walailak are eligible to be applied for.
• Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
• The applicants must have at least 2 research articles written by scholarship recipients MUST be published or have been formally accepted for publication in peer-review academic journals indexed in the Scopus database ranked in the 1stquartile (Q1) or 2nd quartile (Q2)

• How to Apply: Applications at Walailak are accepted online via its admission portal. All eligible applicants will be considered.
• Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
• Research proposal form
• Recommendation letter
• Admission Requirements: The applicants must be relevant master’s degree holders.
• Language Requirement: The students must meet the English language requirements of the university.
