University of Kent New Generation Research Scholarship will provide a doctoral stipend (equivalent to the Research Councils UK National Minimum Doctoral Stipend, which was £15,285 in 2020/21), tuition fees and access to further research funding.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be international students enrolled in a PhD degree program.
  • You must have qualifications/experience equal to the standard of a good honours degree at a first or upper second class level from a UK academic research organisation or an equivalent qualification from outside the UK. A combination of qualifications and/or experience that is equivalent to a relevant UK degree may also be accepted.

  • How to Apply: First, applicants have to take admission to the University. After that, students can complete the online application form for a PhD in the School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research using this form.
  • Supporting Documents: You will need to provide personal details, education and employment history and supporting documents such as curriculum vitae, transcripts of results, and two academic references.
