Scholarship Benefits

  • The E. J. Gumbel Scholarship provides £3,200 per academic year, distributed in three equal termly installments.
  • The scholarship is tenable for the normal duration of the degree program, provided that eligibility criteria are continuously met.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicants must be new undergraduate entrants to the Department of Statistical Science at UCL.
  • Applicants must be registered as full-time students in eligible degree programs with UCAS codes G300, GN32, GLN0, GLR0, LG13, G305, and G303 at UCL.
  • Applicants must hold UK fee status (overseas fee-paying students are not eligible).
  • Eligible students must meet specific academic qualifications, such as achieving Grade A* in Further Mathematics and Mathematics at A-levels or equivalent qualifications.
  • Applicants must demonstrate satisfactory progress in their studies, maintaining an average mark of at least 65% at the end of each year of study.
