Applicants are invited for Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship who have a PhD degree and wish to study at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar in India. The duration of the fellowship will be for a period of 3 years. Renewal needs to be done each year based on satisfactory performance and the recommendation of the Department.

The aim of the fellowship is to support Indian students and provide a contingency grant of the 45,000-55,000 post-doctoral fellow for research purposes. The unspent amount can be carried over to the next financial year.

• Fellowship Amount of Rs. 45,000-55,000/- consolidated
• Suitable Hostel/Campus accommodation as per IIT norms will be provided if requested and if available
• A contingency grant of Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum will be provided to the Post-Doctoral Fellow for research purposes. The unspent amount can be carried over to the next financial year
• Either National or International Conference can be permitted provided funds available in the contingency grant of the concerned doctoral fellow.
• TA Claim for attending an interview
• Train fare by II AC from a place of residence to IIT Ropar (by shortest route).

Eligible Countries: Applicants from India are eligible to apply for the fellowship.
Entrance Requirements: PhD degree holders are eligible to apply within five years after completion of their PhD. Candidates completed PhD supervised/co-supervised by faculty members from IIT Ropar can apply after 3 years of completion of their PhD.
