Introduction

The Institute of Air Law, Space Law, and Cyber Law at the University of Cologne is providing the Research Fellowships in Germany. The applications for the fellowships are open for the academic year 2022-2023.

This University of Cologne International Scholarship has exclusively been designed for international students to undertake a PhD programme at the university. Students will work on topics and tasks related to international air, space and cyber law within the framework of an international research project on Space Traffic Management.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible for this University of Cologne International Scholarship.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD degree in International Air, Space, and Cyber Law offered by the university.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • First or second state exam with an above-average grade (preferably 9 points) or an equivalent degree (e.g., LL.M.)
  • Interest and good knowledge of European and Public International Law
  • Interest and knowledge in the fields of International Air, Space, and Cyber Law are desirable
  • Interest in completing a doctoral thesis in one of the areas named above
