Funding for this program is provided by the Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt). The maximum duration of the scholarship is based on the average time or number of semesters you study (Regelstudienzeit). The stipend will be given first for one year and then till the end of the requirements are met. An extension is possible in addition to Regelstudienzeit. Benefits

Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Scholarship is a Fully Funded Scholarship and Applicants have no need to worry about expenses.

For Masters: A monthly basic stipend of 850€ with a unilateral amount of 20€. Additional subsidies are also available for health and nursing insurance over 86€.

For Ph.D.: Doctoral scholarship is largely independent of one’s income and consists of 1350€ per month. An additional deposit of 100€ is also available to cover research costs and further healthcare subsidies. Scholarship holders can also obtain funds to cover overseas stays (research, attend conferences, etc.).

Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Scholarship

Applicants must  fulfill the eligibility Criteria for Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Scholarship, given below :

  • Required Language: Applicants must have a good knowledge of the English language. German language proficiency (B2 level or above)
  • Eligible countries: All countries of the world. Preference is given to women with success, determination, students from non-academic and immigrant backgrounds, the socially needy and the disabled.
  • Applications from undergraduate and doctoral students in the fields of science and technology are actively encouraged, as well as from graduates of technical colleges.
  • Applications will only be accepted in German or English.
  • Ph.D. students must be accepted at a German university
  • The candidates of MA Degree must be admitted to a state or a state-recognized German university.
  • Certificate of enrolment (Immatrikulationsbescheinigung) for the next semester or at least a letter of admission (Zulassung) from a German university. Your enrollment must be documented by the time the scholarship begins.
  • Candidates have a basic knowledge of the German language (more classes can be sponsored by us). Excellent knowledge of the English language.
  • Activities, at least in social, political, and/or community services.
