Scholarship Description

The Chalmers University of Technology is looking for highly motivated and ambitious students to take part in the PhD Positions in Stability in Converter-Dominated Systems. Students can apply for the academic year 2022-2023.

All interested students, be it international or domestic, are eligible to apply for this Chalmers University of Technology International Scholarship given that they possess a masters degree qualification in electrical engineering, or its equivalent and have apply for a PhD programme at Chalmers. The selected students will be offered full time employment for 5 years.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All international and domestic students are eligible to apply for this Chalmers University of Technology International Scholarship.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can apply for the PhD programme offered at the Chalmers University of Technology.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants are expected to be an independent researcher and to develop your own scientific knowledge and skills and communicate the results of your research through speeches/presentations and scientific publications.

  • How to Apply: Students are required to submit an admission application via the univeristyadmissions portal. Applications for the position can be made online.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • CV
  • Personal letter
  • Copies of bachelor and/or master’s thesis
  • Attested copies and transcripts of completed education, grades and other certificates, e.g. TOEFL test results.
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must have a master’s level degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, with an emphasis on power systems and power electronics, corresponding to at least 240 higher education credits in a relevant field.
  • Language Requirement: The students must have excellent writing and communication skills in English.
