Eligibility

To be eligible for the Canterbury City Council Scholarship in Medicine in UK, candidates must fulfil the following requirements. 

  • The Canterbury City Council Scholarship in Medicine in UK is open only to UK nationals.
  • Applicant must submit a 500 words essay and the topic is -'Why I am suitable for the Canterbury City Council scholarship' 
  • All the progression requirements and program-specific criteria must be met by the students.
  • The student must have accepted an offer from the Kent and Medway Medical School. Applicable courses are- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery 
  • Candidate must be currently educated in the Canterbury district and be the first in the family to go to University
  • Applicant must provide evidence of financial hardship (this includes receipt of benefits by family, UCAT bursary)
