Eligibility Criteria for Japan Africa Dream Scholarship

  • Applicants must be citizens of one of the African Development Bank’s regional member countries.
  • Applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in the field of agriculture, health, energy, environmental sustainability, engineering, or related areas.
  • They should have excellent academic records.
  • Moreover, professional experience and  their history of supporting the development efforts of their countries are also required.
  • They should have at least one year of employment (paid) in their home country or in any other African countries after completing their Bachelor’s degree within the past 3 years.
  • Applicants should be 35 years old or younger, and they must be in good health.
